for the Barrow Lane Battery Switch

Selmech Supplies Ltd won the Silver Award, in the Farm Innovations section, at the Royal Bath and West show. It was a real honour to receive the Award from Falklands hero Simon Weston OBE

What is The Battery Switch?

The Battery Switch is designed to allow two 12-volt batteries to be connected independently of one another to one output. When set, battery 1 is connected to power your device. When its voltage falls below a re-set voltage, the battery switch automatically swaps over to battery 2.

A red light indicates that battery 1's voltage is low and it can then be removed for charging whilst battery 2 continues to power the device.

Running a 12-volt timer and lamp to keep your hens laying during the winter the battery switch help keep the batteries charged and the hens laying.
